Tom Homan Threatens Legal Action After ICE Agents Doxxed by Activists

Former Trump border czar Tom Homan has vowed to take legal action against activists who published personal information—including photos, names, and addresses—of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents operating in Southern California. Homan, speaking on Fox & Friends Wednesday, condemned the doxxing campaign, stating that it had led to death threats and necessitated 24/7 police protection around his residence.

Homan Calls for DOJ Intervention

Homan emphasized that the activists "crossed the line" by publicly exposing federal agents, potentially endangering their lives. He revealed plans to meet with the Department of Justice (DOJ) to explore legal action against those responsible for the postings.

"These agents don’t deserve that. These agents put a gun on their hip and wear a Kevlar vest every day, trying to make their communities safer. We’re focused on criminal threats and national security threats. This is impeding federal law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties."Tom Homan

Legal Ramifications of Doxxing Federal Agents

Doxxing—a practice where private or identifying information is leaked online—poses serious security threats, particularly for law enforcement officers dealing with sensitive and high-risk cases. Federal law protects officers from such targeted harassment under:

  • 18 U.S. Code § 119 – Making it illegal to post restricted personal information about government officials with intent to intimidate or incite violence.
  • 18 U.S. Code § 111 – Protecting federal officers from obstruction or assault while performing their duties.

If the DOJ determines that the activists' actions impeded ICE operations or incited threats of violence, criminal charges could follow.

Ongoing Threats and Heightened Security Measures

Homan disclosed that state troopers are stationed around his home around the clock due to the threats he has received. ICE agents, who already operate in dangerous conditions, now face increased personal risks due to exposure by activist groups.

Law enforcement agencies are working to determine who is responsible for the doxxing, and a federal investigation may soon be underway to address the growing security concerns.
